Mercury Marine Prepares Hybrid Boat For Production

Trade Only Today reports that Mercury Marine is getting serious about building a production model hybrid boat.

According to the story, Mercury showed off a 42-foot cruiser powered by a lithium-ion battery at the Miami International Boat Show. The concept boat was even featured retractable solar panels.

Trade Only Today interviewed Mercury’s chief program engineer for hybrid and electrical systems to find out what is in store for the future.
