Sea Ray Shines at Miami International Boat Show

Sea Ray Boats recently announced their return from the recent Miami show with multiple awards for design excellence, product quality and customer satisfaction.

“From an industry recognition standpoint, to say we had a successful few days in Miami would be an understatement,” said Rob Noyes, vice president of marketing for Sea Ray. “The accolades we received from consumers and industry experts alike validate our continued investment in our facilities, technologies and dealer support programs. We know that consumer expectations are high in the marine industry, perhaps now more than ever. That’s why every day we work harder to deliver a positive experience that reinforces a customer’s decision to invest in a Sea Ray.”

The good news began with the announcement that Sea Ray was the recipient of two prestigious awards from J.D. Power and Associates: “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Small Runabouts (16’ to 19’)” and “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Express Cruisers (24’ to 33’) in a Tie.” Sea Ray was the only manufacturer to receive awards in two segments of the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Boat Competitive Information StudySM.

Next came two “Excellence in Design” awards from Trailer Boats magazine, one for the all-new 270 Sundancer (pictured above) and another for the all-new 230 Sundeck (pictured below). In the words of the editors, these awards “celebrate today’s most exciting trendsetters” and “acknowledge the risk takers, companies with the vision and, yes, moxie to push the needle forward.”

These statements were echoed in Motor Boating magazine when it recently named the new 43 Sundancer to its “Best of the Year” list, calling it a “trendsetter” that “redefines the express cruiser concept.”

Lastly, Sea Ray was honored with a Boating magazine “Best Bet” for the 230 Select Fission®, which the editors recognized for its standard iPod docking station. “You’ll see more of this in runabouts as builders recognize how we really live. Meant for Gen X through Y types, but rockin’ for some classic Stones as well.”

“Our commitment to higher standards across the board sets Sea Ray apart from other boat makers,” Noyes said. “In the past three years, we’ve continued to invest in product design, quality and manufacturing improvements. That type of commitment is carried through the manufacture, testing and customer support of every Sea Ray boat.”
